“Of course, you know that the vice president is the number one Christian in politics and government in Nigeria.
“And since my election as President of the CAN I have not had the opportunity to come and introduce myself and have a conversation with him.
“So, this is just a courtesy call to let you know that I am now the new president-elect of the CAN.
“And this is a prelude to the courtesy visit to President Muhammadu Buhari; so that’s why I’m here,” he said.
According to him, the CAN is an ecumenical movement and continues to work for Christian unity.
He said that the association was also working to engage other sectors of Nigeria in order to build a united and virile country.
