Burundi signs its second Country Programming Framework (CPP) for 2021-2026

A CPF is the reference framework for medium-term planning of technical cooperation between a Member State and the IAEA

VIENNA, Austria, September 23, 2021 / APO Group / –

Ambassador Rémy Barampama, Technical Advisor to the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Development Cooperation, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Development Cooperation, and Mr. Hua Liu, Deputy Director General of the IAEA and Head of the Department of technical cooperation, signed the Burundi Country Programming Framework (CPP). for the period 2021-2026 on September 23. A CPF is the reference framework for medium-term planning of technical cooperation between a Member State and the IAEA and identifies priority areas where the transfer of nuclear technology and technical cooperation resources will be directed to support development objectives. national.

Burundi has been an IAEA Member State since 2009. Its 2021-2026 CPP identifies five priority areas:

Nuclear and radiological safety. Food and Agriculture Human Health Water Resource Management and the Environment Higher Education Program in Nuclear Science and Technology
