Buhari greets Emeka Anyaoku at 89
President Muhammadu Buhari on Monday congratulated former Commonwealth Secretary-General Emeka Anyaoku on his 89th birthday on January 18.
In a congratulatory message from his press assistant, Femi Adesina, in Abuja, the president joined family and friends in celebrating with the diplomat, whose contributions to Nigeria and the international community will continue to be highlighted.
Mr. Buhari stated that the international diplomat, who started as a Foreign Service Officer, had constantly followed and projected the welfare of his country.
She also commended him for working hard to build his local community and staying active in advising leaders on the way forward.
The President praised his foresight, courage and diligence in pursuing his vision of a more just and peaceful world.
He prayed that almighty God would continue to strengthen the renowned international diplomat and his family.
