Buffalo Sabres edge New York Rangers in 3-on-3 OT
Skinner’s goal seals victory for struggling Sabres
The Buffalo Sabres edged out the New York Rangers in a thrilling 3-on-3 overtime victory. Jeff Skinner skated past Mika Zibanejad and Vladimir Tarasenko to score the winning goal, his 32nd of the season, over Jaroslav Halak. The Sabres won for only the second time in 11 matches against the Rangers, improving to 36-31-7 with 79 points.
Stunning visuals with Alexa Voice Remote
The smart TV used by Buffalo to access a wide range of streaming services has excellent 4K visuals and is easy to navigate. The Alexa Voice Remote makes things even simpler, helping viewers to find the perfect show or movie.
Levi makes impressive debut in goal
The Sabres’ goalie, Devon Levi, made an impressive debut after being drafted by Florida in 2020. He had a 15-shutout career at Northeastern and had a 1.90 goals-against average and a .942 save percentage, the second-best in NCAA history.
Other Sabres players also make an impact
The Sabres’ JJ Peterka scored his 11th goal, Jordan Greenway returned and scored his fourth goal, and Casey Mittelstadt had two assists. The Rangers stretched their point streak against the Sabres to 12 games and finished March with a record of 10-4-2.
Levi holds strong in first period
In the first period, Peterka scored to give Levi an early lead. Levi stopped both of New York’s shots, including a close-range effort from Chris Kreider, while Buffalo held an 11-2 shot advantage.
Greenway completes strong power move
In the second period, Greenway took a pass from Mittelstadt and scored after muscling past Ben Harpur. Levi made a head-first save from Kakko’s one-timer in the third period before Fox tied the game at 2-all.
