Brazil vs Croatia history: World Cup head-to-heads, last meeting and team records
World Cup
Croatia will face Tite’s Brazil for a place in the World Cup semifinals after beating Japan on penalties in the round of 16, before the Selecao dismantled South Korea.

Brazil have never lost in four previous meetings with the Croats in all competitions, although it has been four and a half years since the teams last met, when they lined up for a friendly in England.

Zlatko Dalic
Zlatko Dalic’s men have repeated some of their career success up until the 2018 World Cup final in Russia, where all of their knockout matches except the final went to extra time.

They will be hoping to give Brazil their toughest test yet in the 2022 finals, after coming back from a goal behind in their round of 16 game to overcome penalties.

History of Brazil vs Croatia
Few teams have a positive record against Brazil, but the Selecao will be wary of Croatia since previous meetings between these nations.
World Cup
Croatia took a shock lead over the World Cup hosts in the opening game of the 2014 tournament and only Neymar’s 71st-minute penalty finally put Brazil ahead for the first time. The underdogs then pushed for an equalizer, before a 90th-minute goal from Oscar embellished the win for the five-time champions.
Brazil also trailed before achieving a 1-1 draw in the first meeting between the teams, in 2005.
World Cup
They also ended Croatia’s 10-game unbeaten run with a 1–0 win in the 2006 World Cup final, setting a record eight consecutive World Cup victories in the process.

Neymar is the game’s top scorer thanks to three goals in the Paris Saint-Germain striker’s last two appearances against Croatia.
Niko Kranjcar
Marcelo’s own goal in 2014 leaves Niko Kranjcar the only Croatian player to have scored against Brazil, and gives his current generation the chance to become the first to repeat the trick in over 17 years.

Last match Brazil vs Croatia
World Cup
Returning from long-term injury ahead of the 2018 World Cup, Neymar reassured Brazil about his fitness with an excellent tiebreaking shot against a hard-fought Croatia team at Liverpool’s Anfield, sliding between two defenders and shooting off the crossbar.
Roberto Firmino
Roberto Firmino clearly felt at home on the ground where the striker plays most of his club’s football, scoring a second into stoppage time to seal a 2-0 win in a game with strong challenges from both teams.
Brazil vs Croatia World Cup odds
Brazil are likely to win in regulation and are even more overwhelming favorites to advance, if you add the safety net of extra time or penalties.
The form guide shows that Croatia have taken seven of their last eight knockout games in major tournaments into extra time.
Just one team has scored in 16 of Brazil’s last 22 matches, while the same can be said for 11 of Croatia’s most recent 20 matches.
