Owerri, Imo State, Nigeria – Former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson don waka come Nigeria, and he no gree make negative security reports stop am. As e dey address the crowd for the Imo State Economic Summit 2025, he puff up and say he dey feel “perfectly safe” for the place. Na so dem sabi how to catch attention, abi?
Johnson begin talk say, “When I decide to come Owerri, I jam some kind news wey people dey yarn about security wahala for Nigeria. Dem dey ask, ‘E fit get problem for here?’ And I just shake my head, ‘I go still come.’” (Talk about confidence, e no even blink!)
He also use this chance to hail Governor Hope Uzodimma. The ex-PM dey push for 24-hour electricity wey fit boost the economy. “Na artificial intelligence go help una achieve that plan,” he shout. E call AI “the future,” wey fit make sense dey everywhere, even for Imo State.
He dey observe how Naija and Britain get deep connection, as dem dey pass skilled workers like say na trade. “We dey send una palliative things like drugs, bankers, and car parts, and una dey send back oil, Nollywood films, and tech geniuses,” he say. (Chai, if no be say wahala dey, I for join that line to get my portion!)
The summit no be small event o! Vice President Kashim Shettima, wey stand for President Bola Tinubu, and other big names like former UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon and Aliko Dangote dey inside the crowd. Na real show wey dem put together here.
But as e be say na small security wahala dey happen for Nigeria, Johnson still dey shine like star. Even as gunmen dey do their own for Niger State and everywhere don dey chuk head, e no wan collect negative vibes from the reports wey dey fly around. (E be like say e bring his own light to the place!)
So, na everything be this? E fit mean say no be all report wey we go see for media go fit represent real level on ground. Na im help Johnson send this message wey no leave room for fear.
