Abuja, Nigeria – Wetin dey happen for PDP matter? Bode George, wey be member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Board of Trustees, don caution former Jigawa State Governor, Sule Lamido, no go dey think of suing the party because him no fit buy the nomination forms to be the National Chairman. E Gary! (Somebody needs to tell him, say na wah wey dey!)
So, wetin happen? Lamido waka go PDP National Secretariat for Abuja to buy him form. But guess wetin? Person wey dey in charge come dey MIA (missing in action). Na like dat dem relationship fit spoil. After him wahala, Lamido threaten sey him go drag PDP go court. But Bode no gree make am comot like dat! E sabi sey if Lamido decide to carry matter go court, him fit collect serious punishment.
For Channels Television’s Politics Today, wey dey air for Tuesday, George yarn sey make PDP allow everybody wey wan contest make dem try their luck. E no go make sense, if them just collect form from one person (as e dey happen for private party). According to am, “The process suppose be seamless and democratic.” Na so e talk am—everybody get the right to try.
“You fit go collect the form, fill am well, and come show face for convention day. We go vote and make decision,” George add. But e no forget to remind Lamido something wey dey very important: “Before you carry our party go court, make you first follow the internal processes. If you no do am, wahala dey await you o!” (Chai, as e be, sef!)
George dey talk am strong say PDP no be personal property, and if Lamido wan contest, nobody go stop am. “He dey exercise him rights, but court no be di answer. We fit settle things here.”
Dem still dey face wahala for party after dem zone chairmanship position to North-West. Some Northern leaders don even pick dem consensus candidate, Tanimu Turaki—big wahala dey brew, as some dem dey vex about am.
Na for November 15 and 16, PDP go hold dem national convention for Ibadan, wey dey for Oyo State. E go sweet and we dey expect plenty drama. (Just like Naija movie, abi?)
