Belgium defeated Canada in the first group match and currently sits third in the table with three points.

A victory over Spain will automatically grant them passage into the round of 16, while a draw could be costly should Germany defeat Costa Rica with a wide margin.
For four times champions Germany, the 1-1 draw with Spain kept them in the tournament, but anything short of a victory against Costa Rica would be a disaster.
