Bauchi governor appoints new Chief of Staff

Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State has appointed Mr. Aminu Gamawa as the new Chief of Staff, Government House, Bauchi.

He replaces Mr. Ladan Salihu, sacked on June 9, alongside the secretary of the state government, commissioners and other political figures.

This is contained in a statement signed by Mr. Mukhtar Gidado, the governor’s special media and advertising adviser, Monday in Bauchi.

Gamawa, a lawyer, was the former commissioner at the Ministry of Budget and Economic Planning.

“Gamawa has worked in a wide range of organizations, government agencies, educational institutions and unprofitable entities.

“He is chairman of the 2020 Bauchi State COVID-19 Economic Recovery Committee and World Bank Vice President for Fiscal Transparency, Accountability and Sustainability (SFTAS) in the State,” Gidado said.

Gidado said Gamawa also served as the regional representative of the subnational ease of doing business technical working group; Coordinator, Harvard Law School Graduate Forum (2011 – 2014) and associate professor.

“In the year 2020; Gamawa received the National Order of Productivity Merit (NPOM) award. (NAA)
