B-roll: African rugby teams meet to prepare for the Olympics and Olympic draft – Day 1

This year’s men’s seven-a-side solidarity camp brought together Africa’s rugby sevens champions under one camp.

The teams are South Africa, Kenya, Uganda and Zimbabwe.

Currently only South Africa and Kenya qualified for the Olympic Games in the men’s category. But Uganda and Zimbabwe still have a chance thanks to the Olympic draft. The Olympic draft is due to take place in Monaco on June 19 and 20 with the Tokyo Olympics from July 26 to 28 for men.

Under the leadership of Rugby Africa, the African teams come together to prepare the qualified teams for the Olympic Games and the Olympic draft with friendly tournaments and shared preparation camps.
