Arsenal boost as Nicolas Pepe nears return to action following injury
Nicolas Pepe, who is currently on loan at OGC Nice from Arsenal, has been out of action since mid-January due to knee tendinitis.
However, Nice head coach Didier Digard has provided a positive update on the winger, stating that he has been responding well to treatment and has been doing some light running.
Although Pepe is unlikely to feature in Saturday’s game against Auxerre, his progress towards a return is encouraging.
Pepe has been in impressive form while on loan at Nice, scoring eight goals across all competitions.
Upon his return to the Arsenal squad, he could potentially have a long-term future at the club, but if a decision is made to part ways, his improved performance could lead to a nice windfall for the Gunners.
