Arrest of House of Representatives Majority Leader Alhassan Ado Doguwa Confirmed
The police has confirmed the arrest of Majority Leader of the House of Representatives, Alhassan Ado Doguwua, for his suspected involvement in the killing and arson of the New Nigeria People’s Party’s secretariat during the recent election.

A credible source from the police disclosed that Doguwa was apprehended at the Malam Aminu Kano International Airport while trying to board a flight to Abuja.

The report from the police in Tudunwada revealed that Doguwa purportedly led a group of thugs in torching the NNPP secretariat, leading to the deaths of at least two individuals.

Meanwhile, Doguwa had rejected all of these claims in a press conference, asserting that he has not even held a gun before in his life, let alone fired one.
However, it was revealed that the conflict first began when the NNPP supporters targeted the INEC office, and Doguwa’s APC supporters responded in defence.
Despite this, Doguwa was still declared the winner of the House of Representatives election for the fifth time during the weekend.
He is currently being held in the state Criminal Investigation Department for further investigation.
The police’s spokesperson, SP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, remained uncommunicative on the issue.
