Armed militant killed in Algeria’s anti-terror operation
Ain Defla Province
Algerian anti-terror units on Friday killed an armed militant in the woods of Ain Defla Province, 163 km southwest of the capital Algiers, the defense ministry said in a statement.

The militant was killed during an operation being conducted in the locality of Zeddine in the dense forests of Ain Defla, according to the ministry statement.

A Kalashnikov-type submachine gun, three magazines, one grenade and one mobile phone were seized.

The killing came just days after a senior terrorist leader was killed in this ongoing operation.
The North African nation has deployed tens of thousands troops along its border with Mali and Libya to thwart intrusion of terrorists and arms.
