The Government has appointed Mr. Anthony Lim Weng Kin as Singapore’s first non-resident Ambassador to the Republic of Colombia, Ms. Tan Poh Hong as the next Singapore non-resident Ambassador to the Kingdom of Denmark and Mr. Lim Ming Yan as the next Singaporean non-resident Ambassador to the Kingdom of Denmark. High Commissioner of the Republic of Mauritius.
Mr. Anthony Lim Weng Kin is an independent director of DBS Group Holdings and DBS Bank. He is also an Independent Principal Director at CapitaLand and CapitaLand Hope Foundation.
Mr. Lim is a member of various committees at DBS, CapitaLand, and the Scholars Rescue Fund at the Institute of International Education. He has held various senior positions at GIC Private Limited, Bankers Trust Company and the Monetary Authority of Singapore.
Mr. Lim graduated with a Bachelor of Science from the National University of Singapore in 1982.
Ms. Tan Poh Hong is Adjunct Associate Professor at the National University of Singapore School of Business. During her time in public service, she held various high-level positions, including Deputy Executive Director of the Housing Development Board and Executive Director of the Singapore Veterinary and Agri-Food Authority.
Ms. Tan received the Public Service Medal in 1999, the NTUC Commendation Medal in 2001, and the Public Service Medal (Gold) in 2013.
Ms. Tan graduated with a Bachelor of Science (with honors) in Wealth Management from the National University of Singapore and a Master of Business Administration (with distinction) from New York University, USA.
Mr. Lim Ming Yan is the Chairman of the Singapore Business Federation and holds management positions in various private and publicly traded companies, including Singapore Press Holdings Limited and Sembcorp Industries.
Mr. Lim was previously Group Chairman and CEO of CapitaLand Limited before retiring in 2018.
Mr. Lim received the Singapore Armed Forces Overseas Scholarship in 1982. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and Economics (with first class honors) from the University of Birmingham, UK in 1985, and He then received an Honorary Doctorate from the University in 2015.
