Yilwatda stated this on Thursday during his thank-you-tour and consultative meeting with stakeholders in Mangu and Pankshin Local Government Areas of the state.
The governorship hopeful noted that there could not be any development if citizens did not feel secure and safe to go about their legitimate businesses.
“We will defend Plateau with all our strength.
As a matter of fact, we will put our lives on the line in defending Plateau if need be.
“We shall deploy technology to complement human efforts.
“This is imperative because we cannot provide infrastructure where there are no people to enjoy them in peace.
“Apart from infrastructure, we will build our peoples’ capacities and empower them to engage in various forms of businesses without let,’’ he said.
Yilwatda assured that he would be a detribalised governor of Plateau of Ngas extraction.
He enjoined APC members and loyalists to work together to win at the 2023 general elections.
Stakeholders at the meeting, the APC Woman Leader in Mangu Local Government Area, Mrs Naomi Tanko, and the APC Youth Leader in the local government area, Mr Jwanan Sani, both expressed support for the candidate.
In his remarks, Chairman, Mangu Local Government Council, Mr Minister Daput noted that APC candidates are credible people and have the capacity turn the fortunes of Plateau around for good.
Chairman, Pankshin Local Government Council, Mr Kakmena Audu, in his own remarks described Yilwatda’s visit as home-coming of the son of the soil.
