Asiwaju Ball Tinubu
Mr. Mark Tersoo, Director, Youth Mobilization for the North-Central All Progressive Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council wants the party’s youth to aggressively mobilize for the party’s presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.
Tersoo said this during the opening of the Youth Mobilization for the APC North-Central Presidential Campaign Council and released the party’s schedule of activities on Tuesday in Abuja.
He said the inauguration was to ensure that the youth crowd mobilized and ensure victory for Tinubu and his running mate Senator Kashim Shettima and other APC candidates in the 2023 general election.
According to Tersoo, it is now necessary to establish an effective commitment and put in place structures to coordinate an aggressive mobilization of youth in the six north central states and the FCT.
“You have to go all out to the nooks and crannies of the north central part of the country and tell the success stories of the party and how well the party has performed in the last seven years.
“It is necessary to consolidate the achievements of the presidential candidate,” he said.
Therefore, he urged young people to champion the cause of APC’s victory in the area to build strong partnership, unity and understanding among party stakeholders.
He also urged them to identify means and measures to mobilize more people, especially youth and students, to support and vote for the party’s candidates.
“I want to ask you to create more political awareness among citizens based on the integrity of the party’s standard-bearers before the elections.
“This considering the fact that the north center is the third largest geopolitical zone in the country.
“It is necessary to deploy any means that convince the electorate to vote for the party’s presidential candidates during the elections to demonstrate their number,” he said.
He also described the APC presidential candidate as someone who cares about young people.
Tersoo tasked APC North Central Youth to immediately begin aggressive mobilization under the general supervision of the Tinubu National Youth Coordinators.
He also urged them to develop and implement “Get the Votes Out (GOTV)” strategies targeting students, youth clubs, the National Youth Council/Movimiento Nacional de la Juventud, and first-time voters ages 18-25.
Tersoo also urged them to work with the campaign council’s Directorate of Grassroots Mobilization to implement a door-to-door campaign for young Nigerians.
“Organize and identify youth leaders in each state, strengthen their capacities to educate them in line with democratic rights”, he said.
