Anthony Joshua’s comeback fight in London’s O2 Arena

Boxing star faces Jermaine Franklin in bid to bounce back from successive defeats

Anthony Joshua returns to the ring on Saturday night at London’s O2 Arena where he faces off against Jermaine Franklin, in his first fight in the venue since 2016. The bout marks a pivotal moment for Joshua, following his two successive defeats to Oleksandr Usyk.

The last few years have been the toughest of Joshua’s career, losing in a shock defeat to Andy Ruiz Jr. in 2019, and more recently to Usyk in 2021 and 2022. Joshua is looking forward to a fresh start with new trainer Derrick James guiding him ahead of this weekend’s fight.

The O2 Arena has played host to some of Joshua’s best fights, and he returns to the venue hoping to rekindle some of the magic from previous victories. The British boxer has previously fought there seven times, with the last being against Dominic Breazeale in 2015 before becoming a world champion a year later by beating Charles Martin.

Where to watch the fight and how to get tickets

The fight takes place on April 1st, with last minute tickets available for those who can attend in person. However, for those who want to watch from the comfort of their own homes, DAZN provides sports streaming for just £9.99 a month – watching Joshua’s fight is included as part of the package.

DAZN’s extensive range of content includes boxing, wrestling, cricket, football, MMA, and basketball, as well as live sports events, highlights and original programming.

Despite Joshua’s popularity in his hometown of London, there have been some issues selling tickets for the fight. To ensure a sellout, the tickets’ cost has recently been reduced. Those interested in purchasing tickets can find them for between £95 to £117, depending on the available ticket categories.

The tickets are available via various channels such as O2 and Virgin Media customers (Priority NOW), as well as through general sale channels such as Stage Front and AXS.
