Awka, Feb. 13, 2018 (NNN) Mr Samben Nwosu, Commissioner, Public Complaints Commission (PCC) in Anambra, has called on staff of the commission to adhere to work ethics to boost efficiency at work.

Nwosu gave the advice when he addressed the staff of the commission on Wednesday in Awka.

He said that there was a new work code and guidelines; which were meant to guide the staff and officers toward achieving the commission’s mandate of effectively settling disputes among Nigerians.

He warned that there would be no place for indolence, adding that such acts would be met with appropriate sanctions.

“You are encouraged to join the moving train or be dropped, as we will not tolerate indolent staff or behavior.

“We must sit up and work in line with the new work code/ethics of the commission for investigation of cases which are time-bound and target oriented.

“Every staff of this commission must work and your output must justify your salary, so, we must have that at the back of our minds.

“Our qualities should be good behaviour and discipline. Apart from helping to achieve our mission, these qualities will also build us for higher responsibility,’’ he said.

“Any staff on academic pursuit should properly notify the commission, as certificate earned will not be recognised if not approved.

“Again, annual leave for every staff shall end on the 30th of November every year or be forfeited.’’

Nwosu used the opportunity to notify staff in the Anambra office of the commission about the emergence of Mr Chille Igbawa, the Chief Commissioner, as the Coordinator West African Ombudsman. (NNN)
