Ambassador of Cuba presents Letters of Credence to the Chairman of the African Union Commission
Both sides also reaffirmed their willingness to boost bilateral relations in all areas of common interest.

In an official ceremony held in the imposing African Union headquarters building in Addis Ababa, HE Mr. Moussa Faki Mahamat, President of the African Union Commission, received the Credentials of Ambassador Lourdes Marrero Oro, accrediting her as Ambassador Permanent Observer of Cuba to that important multilateral organization.
Both parties held a cordial dialogue in which they highlighted Cuba’s cultural roots, the country’s historical ties of solidarity with Africa and the continent’s gratitude for it, as well as the historical support of that organization and its 55 members, for the struggle of our people for the lifting of the criminal and unjust blockade of the United States. Both sides also reaffirmed their willingness to boost bilateral relations in all areas of common interest.
