Alleged attack on my hometown mischievous – SGF
The Secretary of the Federation Government, SGF, Boss Mustapha, has dismissed the alleged report that his hometown, Garha, and other surrounding villages were attacked by Boko Haram and Bandits.
Mustapha made the reaction in an interview with reporters shortly after the Hong High School Ancient Children’s Association meeting held in Hong, the headquarters of the Hong local government area LGA, on Wednesday.
Mustapha, who expressed dismay at the report, said there was nothing similar to that.
“There was none of that (attack on my hometown). It’s just the mischievous imagination of some people.
“I was in my hometown attending weddings when a report of some naughty people caught my attention.
“There was a constant marriage ceremony in my town even before and after Christmas.
“I didn’t just go to my town, I went to several neighboring towns where people were getting married and rejoicing,” Mustapha said.
He said the report was intended to portray the government in a bad light.
Why associate the report with the SGF village?
“If there is widespread insecurity, there is widespread insecurity and the SGF village will not be rid of insecurity,” he said.
He said the government is doing everything it can to ensure that insurgency, banditry and other insecurity challenges are reduced and put in order.
On the reunion of the old men, he expressed his joy at meeting his classmates from the set of 1970.
He said the association has made a modest attempt to transform the school by renovating many structures and providing water supplies to the school.
