According to Sheriff, na total falsehood, and the story na serious attempt to mislead people and spoil his name.
For statement wey him drop, Sheriff come dey talk say, “This yarn wey dem put for ground say ‘It’s Not Me, It’s Shettima Who Created Boko Haram – Sheriff Reveals’ na complete fabrication.” E even come dey vex for the publication wey dey mislead the public and cause wahala for di political landscape for Nigeria.
According to di former Governor, he never grant any interview or chop mouth for anything wey concern that claim. E also add am say, “At no time did Senator Sheriff engage with any journalist on this matter.” (E be like say journalist no sabi ogbon.)

E talk say if dem no take down di publication, him go not hesitate to call lawyers to handle dem directly. “Should the publication not be retracted and taken down forthwith, di Senator go no wan hear word, him go seek full legal redress,” na wetin in statement read.
He urge everybody wey dey hear di matter, especially di media, make dem forget di viral portion and follow di road of truth.
