Air Peace Pilots Don Go Blaze Before Flight? Shocking Runway Wahala!

Port Harcourt, Rivers State

Chai! You won’t believe wetin don happen for Air Peace flight. Na for July 13, 2025, this Boeing 737 wey carry 103 souls go Port Harcourt come land anytime wey e wan like am, but wahala no gree am finish runway op…

According to di Nigerian Safety Investigation Bureau (NSIB), both di pilot and co-pilot test positive for alcohol shortly after di incident. How dem go just spoil wetin suppose be smooth landing? (We fit call am runway excursion saga!)

As di matter be now, di 64-year-old captain don get sack letter for failing safety regulations while di 28-year-old co-pilot don clear am own side from NCAA. Talk say as di pilot follow go party before flight, na so di accident happen (dis one na pilot-wahala for real, no be joke!).

Dem say all passengers and crew waka come down safely, no injury but jeez! Dis kind unprofessional makeup na serious matter for aviation. E be like say these guys forget say dem dey carry pipo life for di air?

NSIB report show say di pilot and co-pilot test positive for Ethyl Glucuronide, wey be sign of recent alcohol consumption. Additionally, one cabin crew member join dem to test positive for THC, di main ingredient for cannabis. (No be wetin we expect to see for inside cabin, no be so?!)

Air Peace don talk say dem no receive any official report from NSIB about di findings, over a month after di incident. Dem dey wonder why di investigation take dis long time, abi dem go say investigation na only Nigerian level wahala?

Since di incident, NSIB dey recommend better training and reinforcement for internal procedures to avoid repeat of dis kind wahala. E no be small wahala wey don pop up, because runway excursions remember dey happen before but no serious crash don show face for Nigeria for years – we dey consider ourself lucky like dis.

Earlier dis month, aviation authorities don start new flight data center to help improve safety but stakeholders dey shout say we still need better technology wey go make flying sef plenty better.

Na so di case take show face as we dey wait for final report on dis koko matter. Meanwhile, as dem say, make we keep our palm wine ready and stay tuned for more gist!
