AFCSCOWA inaugurates secretariat complex, classrooms in Kaduna
Jaji (Kaduna State) The secretariat, administrative complex and classroom blocks of the Armed Forces Command and Staff College Officers Wives Association (AFCSCOWA) Nursery and Primary School Jaji, have been inaugurated on Monday.
Coordinator of the association, Mrs Nanfe Alao, who inaugurated the project said it was to complement the efforts of their husbands in order to improve the wellbeing of women and children within the college.
Alao said the association is a charitable organization formed by wives of serving military officers of the Armed forces college and the Military Cantonment to foster bond of friendship and promote cordial relationship among all military officers’ families.
She added that as part of the contributions of AFCSCOWA to the college community, the association has organized a sensitization lecture on Drug and Substance Abuse for students of the AFCSC Day Secondary School.
“We also conducted free Cervical and Breast Cancer Awareness and Screening to women in Jaji Military cantonment and environs.
“Also, in order to put smile on the faces of widows in our Barracks, we presented food items and cash donations as welfare package during the yuletide,” she said.
