Osun State, Nigeria – E don dey hot as the Osun State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) don come out strong to quench rumors about their governor, Ademola Adeleke, joining the All Progressives Congress (APC). Na Saturday, dem drop di news say no be true wahala wey dey fly around. People dey talk say Adeleke wan join APC, but PDP no gree hear word.
Di Osun PDP chairman, Sunday Bisi, come talk say dem dey aware say di rumors dey make people dey panic. He said, “Dis falsehood, clearly orchestrated by jittery elements within di opposition, na just attempt to distract our people from all di fine things wey we dey do.” (Wetin we go see next? E be like say dem go dey form all sorts of stories).
Bisi make am clear say di PDP no go shake at all, and dem dey more committed to making Osun State better. “We dey work hard to rescue and rebuild Osun State,” he said, adding say dem go continue dey shine light for governance and politics.
Many people don dey wonder why dem fit dey spread this kind rumor, especially as di governor dey busy with im five-point agenda wey him don set. But everybody wey dey gist about this has been told say “Adeleke no dey go anywhere, and PDP still be correct party.” (No be wetin you dey hear for corner talk o!).
As di matter be, some of dem wey dey fear say Adeleke dey waka go APC don start to dey panic. Dem wan use dis rumor distract everybody wey dey support di PDP and sundry fans of di governor. But Adeleke come clear am say na just fake news. “I assure di good people of Osun say I dey with PDP and I no go join any other party,” he reassured all im fans.
