Access Holdings Go High! Shareholders Approve N125.3bn Dividend for Last Year

Lagos, Nigeria – Shareholders of Access Holdings Plc don approve total dividend of N125.3 billion for di financial year wey end for December 31, 2024. Dis approval happen for di company’s Annual General Meeting wey occur for Thursday, where shareholders praises di board and management for di group’s performance and expansion strategy.

According to di board, dem propose final dividend of N2.05 per share, wey go bring di total dividend for 2024 come N2.50 per share. Chairman of Access Holdings, Aigboje Aig-Imoukhuede, talk say di company performance dey reflect di strength of im balance sheet and resilience despite di macroeconomic challenges wey dey ground.

“Central to dis success na our landmark capital raising programme, wey we use raise N351 billion via rights issue. Dis one make Access Bank di first Nigerian bank wey don meet di new N500 billion minimum capital requirement set by di Central Bank of Nigeria, ahead of di 2026 deadline. Di rights issue significantly boost our capital base, increase shareholders’ funds to N3.76 trillion,” Aig-Imoukhuede explain.

Aig-Imoukhuede add say gross earnings rise by 88 percent year-on-year from N2.59 trillion for 2023 to N4.88 trillion for 2024, while profit before tax grow from N729 billion to N867 billion. Acting Group Chief Executive Officer, Bolaji Agbede, confirm say di company record growth across major balance sheet indicators and maintain healthy, diversified financial position.

She note say Access Holdings dey strategically positioned for growth across im banking operations for 22 markets wey dey four continents, plus di non-banking subsidiaries wey dey for investment management and technology. “We go continue to invest prudently, manage risks effectively, and build deeper relationships with all stakeholders to ensure consistent value delivery,” Agbede talk.
