Abuja Don Enter Darkness Again, AEDC Dey Work Tirelessly

Abuja, Nigeria – Wetin we go call this one? Na another power outage show for our beloved Federal Capital Territory (FCT). The Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC) don come out to talk say dem get technical wahala wey cause partial blackout for plenty areas.

The affected areas wey dey suffer this blackout dey include big names like Efab Classic Estate, Metro City Estate, Sticks & Stones, and many more. E be like say area no fit rest as dem dey list places like Hunters Garden, Ecofitness, Airport, and even parts of Gwarinpa and dem plenty others. (If you dey live for Abuja, abeg check make sure your area no join the suffering list.)

AEDC don assure customers sey dem dey work tirelessly to bring back light as fast as possible, and we sabi say sometimes dem dey use this kind grammar to calm our nerves. But e no fit hide say residents don dey vex, some even threaten say dem go protest if dis power kin wan go back to normal.

This no be the first time power wahala dey disturb FCT. Just last year, we don experience plenty outages, with vibes wey don dey feel like a monthly subscription plan for darkness. Dem even give us planned outages like dem dey prepare us for some kind festival. Na wah!

In January 2025, AEDC don earlier talk say power go need to rest as dem dey relocate some feeder wires alongside other connections (no be say dem take light go village o, na serious matter). If we remember well, plenty residents of Bwari Area Council, which include places like Kubwa and Dutse, dey complain about long blackout from Kubwa transmission station. Dem blame bureaucratic wahala for delay wey dey stop power restoration.

(Chai! Na so we dey start to dey ask: Wetin we go do to see light again?)

The AEDC don thoroughly list the areas affected, and them really get enough names wey fit make your head spin! From Lake View Phase 182 to NAF Conference Centre, nobody dey gree make we enjoy our electric life. Wetin happen to our sweet sweet light wey suppose dey shine like star?

For now, we just fit dey pray make dis technical wahala no stretch long. We suppose fit enjoy our AC and fridge without drama again. As dem dey work tire, we dey hope say we go soon see light shine for our beloved Abuja. Na wetin concern us, no wahala!
