Kyari dey face 23 counts from the NDLEA alongside two of him brothers, Mohammed Kyari and Ali Kyari; the charges dem accuse dem of failing to declare assets and some money matter wey dey follow.
The prosecution don already call 10 witnesses come tender 20 exhibits before dem close their case. The court no gree hear the defendants’ no-case submission on October 28, but Justice Omotosho make am clear say that ruling no mean dem guilty; e just mean say dem fit open their own side of the matter.
For court, Kyari begin talk say the NDLEA no fit prove say the properties dey truly belong to am. “The Evidence Act say you need correct papers to show who own wetin for government land, and as e be, some properties don don sell, and we don share the money to family wey need am,” Kyari explain like im dey manage a family business.
