But his partner, Lauren Sánchez, is a figure who has flown under the radar for many.

However, in a recent WSJ Magazine interview with Sánchez, journalist Derek Blasberg discovered the inspiring story of this power couple.

Initially, the couple’s wealth and extravagant lifestyle had caused critics to view them as another “disgustingly wealthy couple” dabbling in charitable giving. But the subhead’s description of Bezos and Sánchez as “one of the most philanthropic couples in the world” piqued readers’ interests.

The couple’s love story began under difficult circumstances, with both still legally married to their respective spouses when news of their romance leaked. But the pair has gone on to exhibit a smooth and loving partnership. They have traveled around the world, posing together for paparazzi in front of iconic landmarks.
