For Edo State, one big news wey dey make waves now be say former Deputy Governor, Dr. Pius Odubu, don be appointed as the head of the All Progressives Congress (APC) transition committee. Dis committee go work closely with the outgoing government to ensure smooth transition of power to the new administration led by Senator Monday Okpebholo, wey INEC declare as the Governor-Elect.
According to reports, Odubu, who served as Deputy Governor under former Governor Adams Oshiomhole, go lead a 24-man transition committee. Dis committee dey made up of experienced individuals wey go handle different aspects of the transition process, including policy, finance, and infrastructure.
This development come at a time when Edo State still dey grapple with post-election tensions, especially from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and its candidate, Asue Ighodalo, who no accept the election results.
