Arsenal don continue their rebuild by signing Spain goalkeeper Misa Rodriguez on a free transfer. The 27-year-old arrive after spending the past six years at Real Madrid.
The Women Super League side don already add Georgia Stanway from Bayern Munich, Selina Cerci from Hoffenheim, Ona Batlle from Barcelona, and Geraldine Reuteler from Eintracht Frankfurt as them aim to challenge for the title. Last season they finish as runners-up, four points behind champions Manchester City.
“I’m so proud to join this great club,” Rodriguez talk. “Arsenal is one of the top clubs for the world and I’m really excited to be part of the team and take on this new challenge.”
Rodriguez don twice win the Zamora Trophy for having the lowest goals-per-game ratio in the league and she become Real Madrid captain for 2025. Born for Las Palmas de Gran Canaria for July 1999, she develop at youth level with CD Femarguin before joining Atletico Madrid for 2017. A move to Deportivo La Coruna follow before the 2019-20 season, where she establish herself as one of Spain most promising young goalkeepers, helping Deportivo secure a fourth-place finish for their first top-flight campaign.
