VfL Wolfsburg don sign goalkeeper Timon Wellenreuther from Feyenoord Rotterdam. The 30-year-old German join the Wolves as first-choice goalkeeper and sign contract until 30 June 2029.
Wellenreuther na product of Karlsruher SC youth academy before he join Schalke U19 side. For 2014, at age 18, dem promote am to Schalke first team. He play eight Bundesliga matches and two Champions League games for Schalke. He also go on loan to RCD Mallorca for Spain second division.
After he leave Germany for 2017, Wellenreuther play for Willem II Tilburg for Eredivisie and RSC Anderlecht for Jupiler Pro League. He first join Feyenoord on loan for 2022/23 season, then the move become permanent.
For four seasons at Feyenoord, Wellenreuther make 125 appearances. He play 12 Europa League matches and 13 Champions League matches. With Feyenoord, he win league title for 2023, KNVB Cup and Dutch Super Cup for 2024.

He has played in the Champions League and the Europa League, won several titles with Feyenoord and most recently also took on responsibility as captain. That shows he can make an impact on a team not only through his performances, but also through his personality. We’re delighted that we were able to convince Timon to join us on our journey.”
