Fidelity Bank distribute 180,000 food packs across Nigeria

Fidelity Bank of Nigeria Plc don distribute over 180,000 food packs to Nigerians across di six geopolitical zones as part of dia corporate social responsibility to improve welfare of di people.

Di Regional Head of TideFidelity, Mrs. Blessing Onuemere, disclose dis while speaking at di official distribution of food packs to beneficiaries for Lokoja, Kogi State.

Di Lokoja branch Manager of di bank, Mr. Nuhu Omale, wey represent di regional manager, on behalf of di management and staff of Fidelity Bank Plc, warmly welcome everybody to di special Fidelity Food Bank distribution for Lokoja.

According to her, “Di Fidelity Food Bank programme was created for April 2023 as part of our contributions to reduce hunger and malnutrition for our host communities. Since e start, we don distribute more than 180,000 food packs to Nigerians across di six geopolitical zones.

“Through dis programme, we dey also help to meet Sustainable Development Goal 2, wey aim to achieve zero hunger.

“For Fidelity Bank, we dey consistently undertake Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives across di country, aimed at improving di living conditions of our host communities and fostering sustainable development.

“Today’s distribution go provide over 1,000 beneficiaries with essential feeding supplies. Dis event go much further than distribution of food items; e dey about uplifting lives, strengthening communities, and supporting families with resources wey dey contribute to dia well-being and resilience.

“My gratitude go to our hosts for today’s event—di Lokoja community—for hosting us. We dey also grateful to di Abbasid Foundation and our partners for helping us facilitate dis initiative.”

Meanwhile, di state Governor, Usman Ododo, don commend Fidelity Bank for di social intervention, noting dat di administration go continue to provide an enabling environment for di bank to do business.

Di governor, wey di State Commissioner for Water Resources, Mr. Farouk Yahaya represent, express gratitude to di management of Fidelity Bank for reaching out to di vulnerable, particularly youths and women.

He therefore assure di bank of im commitment to strengthen a good business environment to operate, adding dat if oda banks don emulate Fidelity Bank, di lives of less privileged go don more meaningful.

Also speaking, di state Commissioner for Youths and Sports, Monday Anyenbe, laud di management of Fidelity Bank for targeting di youths.
