President Bola Tinubu don appoint former Chief Executive Officer of KPMG Nigeria, Mr Kunle Elebute, as Chairperson of the Governing Board of the Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria (FRCN). The announcement come from statement wey Special Adviser to the President for Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, sign on Thursday.
According to the statement, this appointment show Federal Government commitment to strengthen corporate governance, boost investor confidence, and make transparency and accountability better for Nigeria financial reporting system.
Mr Elebute na distinguished Chartered Accountant and financial management consultant wey get over 40 years experience for Nigeria, West Africa, and global markets. Before now, he serve as Senior Partner and CEO of KPMG Nigeria, Chairman of KPMG West Africa, and Chairman of KPMG Africa. He also serve for KPMG regional and global boards, including Global Board Audit Committee.
