Despite putting up solid performance last season with 10 goals and seven assists for Manchester City, Foden no be called up by Tuchel to travel to the tournament wey dey happen for Canada, Mexico, and United States. The 26-year-old absence be one of the biggest surprises for the national team roster, alongside the omissions of players like Trent Alexander-Arnold, Cole Palmer, and Harry Maguire.

However, Foden put any controversy aside and choose to publicly support his teammates. Speaking with TalkSPORT, Phil say he firmly believe the team get chance to go far for the tournament and even contend for the title: ‘Looking forward to it mate, obviously going to watch England hopefully do well, rooting for them. His comments come ahead of the Three Lions opener against Croatia on June 17 at Dallas Stadium, a match wey dey generate great anticipation as both teams get high hopes for Group L. Meanwhile, despite his absence from the final roster, Foden set aside any personal disappointment to send message of support to Harry Kane, Jude Bellingham, and the rest of the squad.
