Duke, while accepting di flag for Abuja on Wednesday, blame di elite for di wahala wey dey face di kontri. E say di time don come for di common man to take over leadership.
“Our land don become so desolate wey bandits, gangsters and kidnappers dey collect tax, while government dey collect excuses. As di report from Nigerian Bureau of Statistics show, approximately N2 trillion na ransom wey dem pay to kidnappers for 2025 alone—amount wey equal about 10 per cent of di whole federal budget,” Duke tok.
“All dis na because our leaders don fail to do wetin correct, for di right time, and for di right person. For di end, di best politics na, and always go be, to do di right thing—not di convenient thing. And di person wey no know wetin correct no get business to lead others,” e add.
Duke promise to build kontri where “farmers go return safely from dia farm, and where every pikin get desk and chair for decent learning environment.”
While e dey explain say di elite don get dia turn for leadership, Duke say PRP mission na to empower ordinary Nigerians, no be political elites.
“Di scavengers don get dia turn. Now na di turn of di common man—di true Nigerian, market woman, farmer, and di unemployed graduate. And I, Donald Duke, I dey seek to be dia champion.

Speaking earlier, National Chairman of di party, Dr Hakeem Baba-Ahmed, describe Duke as di best choice to lead Nigeria and rescue am from di wahala wey dey. Baba-Ahmed describe di event as di beginning of a mission to restore hope and rebuild Nigeria.
