For Friday, Seoul District Court find Yoon, im former defense minister Kim Yong-hyun, former head of Defense Counterintelligence Command Yeo In-hyung, and former head of Drone Operations Commands Kim Yong-dae guilty of treason and abuse of power. Kim get 30 years, Yeo get 15 years, and Kim Yong-dae get three years plus five-year suspended sentence.
The court say the defendants use military operation as cover to make North Korea react, so them fit create state of emergency. E add say all three officials provoke North Korea and increase risk of war, but Yoon get the greatest responsibility.
Yoon lawyers argue say im action na legitimate response to North Korea rubbish balloons. North Korea don drop hundreds of balloons for 2024 wey contain filthy waste and trash for South side. The two countries don use such propaganda balloons since Korean War.
