PSP of Leiria don catch one man wey dey run from justice since 2017. The man, wey be 50 years old, na him dem catch for May 25. Dem don sentence am for seven years prison for violent robbery and carjacking.
The arrest happen for Marinha Grande for one restaurant. The police say the man no resist when dem catch am. After all the legal tings, dem carry am go Leiria Prison to serve im sentence.
According to PSP, the crimes happen for 2008. The man na part of four-person gang wey dey rob for different areas like Pombal, Marinha Grande, Albergaria dos Doze, Ferreira do Zêzere, Soure, and Sertã. The gang dey use plenty violence for their robberies.
The police talk say the gang dey act with extreme aggression. Dem go stop vehicles for road, drag the drivers out, and beat dem with fist and kicks. Then dem go take the cars and use dem for other robberies, like for jewelry shops.
One of the worst attacks happen for Ferreira do Zêzere. The robbers come with a sawed-off shotgun, threaten customers, and beat the shop owner seriously. Another robbery for Soure, dem steal jewelry wey worth over 100,000 euros. For Sertã, dem use crowbar to break into a jewelry shop, threaten the owner with gun, and break display cases to take gold.
The police try for many years to find this man. Dem finally trace am to France, for Saint-Tropez area, where im dey live and work. But dem catch am for Portugal, for Marinha Grande, with help from local PSP. No trouble during the arrest.
