Sonayon-James, wey be indigene of Badagry, go run alongside di party’s governorship candidate, Dr Obafemi Hamzat, for di 2027 poll.
She be prominent politician, sustainability expert and business executive. She get name for grassroots political engagement and advocacy for women participation for leadership and governance.
Currently, she dey serve as Deputy State Chairman of di APC for Lagos State. She reach dat position after she previously serve as di party’s State Assistant Woman Leader.
Over di years, Sonayon-James don play key roles inside di APC structure for Lagos. She also serve as Supervisory Councillor for Agriculture and Social Services for Badagry West Local Council Development Area.
For academics, she hold Master’s degree for Social Work from Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, LAUTECH. She also get degree for Business and Human Resources Management from University of Hull, United Kingdom.
Beyond politics, she don build career for human resources, logistics and sustainability management. She be Chief Executive Officer of DGS Chauffeurs and Logistics.
Her emergence as APC deputy governorship candidate put her side by side with Hamzat as di party dey prepare for di 2027 governorship election for Lagos State.
