Washington, D.C. dey prepare for first-ever IndyCar race for National Mall. The Freedom 250 Grand Prix go happen on August 23-24, as part of America 250th birthday celebration. Organizers say all general admission tickets go be free, but you must request dem through Ticketmaster.
Dem dey call am “picturesque course layout” because drivers go race along Pennsylvania Avenue, near Smithsonian museums, and pass by U.S. Capitol. Two-time IndyCar champion Josef Newgarden say, “This circuit is unlike any other street race we’ve seen. You’ve got a high-speed section down Pennsylvania Avenue that will reward commitment and precision, mixed with technical corners around 9th Street that will demand respect.”
Starting May 29, fans fit request up to four free tickets per day for each day of the race. Dem go assign you to one of two viewing areas: STARS Ticket Area between 12th and 7th Street, south of Pennsylvania Ave., or STRIPES Ticket Area between 7th and 3rd Street, between Pennsylvania Ave. and Independence Ave. No age restriction dey for tickets.
