Eid-el-Kabir: Tinubu, VC, Shettima call for unity, prayers against insecurity

Di Vice-Chancellor of Emmanuel Alayande University of Education, Oyo, Prof. Olanrewaju Olaniyan, don felicitate Muslim faithful and members of di university community for di occasion of di 2026 Eid-el-Kabir celebration.

Olaniyan describe Eid-el-Kabir as festival wey symbolise sacrifice, love, obedience and total submission to di will of Almighty Allah.

For statement wey di institution’s Media and Public Relations Officer, ’Wale Adeoye, release, di Vice-Chancellor wish di Muslim Ummah peaceful Eid-el-Kabir celebration wey dey filled with Allah’s blessings, mercy and benevolence.

According to di renowned economist, di celebration reflect God’s special love for mankind as e dey demonstrated for di replacement of Prophet Ibrahim’s son, Ishmail, with ram for sacrifice.

“Eid-el-Kabir festival is highly symbolic to Muslim faithful. E dey show di special love of Almighty Allah to mankind as e dey reflected for di replacement of Ishmail, Prophet Ibrahim’s son, with ram for sacrifice. There is no less way of giving us love and peace dan dis and we must always give thanks to God Almighty,” e yarn.

Di Vice-Chancellor urge Muslims to use di period to offer prayers against di worsening insecurity challenges wey dey face di country and seek divine intervention for lasting peace and stability for Nigeria.

E also appeal to members of di university community to continue to support im administration for im efforts to reposition di institution for greater academic excellence and national relevance.

“I urge our Islamic faithful to, for di spirit of di Eid-el-Kabir festival, join and pray for our administration as we jointly put di university on di right track. We no fit do am alone but with di support of di entire workforce of di university,” e tok.

Olaniyan furda call on members of di university community to rededicate demsef to di growth and progress of di institution, while also praying for peace and development for Oyo State under di leadership of Governor Seyi Makinde.
