Former Big Brother Naija winner, Ijeoma Josephina Otabor, wey dem dey call Phyna, don come out to say she no take down her Instagram page. She say na fans of social media critic VeryDarkMan (VDM) report her page, make e get suspended.
Her account become unavailable on Monday, May 25, during the online fight between her and the activist. For video wey she share for X (formerly Twitter), Phyna clear the matter. She talk say, ‘I didn’t deactivate my IG. Deactivate say wetin happen na? It got suspended.’
The heavy clash start after Phyna accuse VDM of trying to sleep with her. She claim say the critic turn against her because she reject his advances. She also share screenshots of private chats to back up her claims. VDM strong deny am and demand clear proof.
The drama escalate when Israel DMW, wey be media aide to singer Davido, join the conversation. He make some insulting remarks about Phyna. Phyna fire back angrily during live broadcast, making strong personal comments about Israel’s marriage and him wey no get children.
Reacting to the insults, Israel DMW defend himself for Instagram. He say Nigerians dey always quick to criticise public figures wey choose to stay legally married without having children.
Phyna also reveal say she reach out to VDM for 2025 to help get justice for her late younger sister, Ruth Otabor, wey Dangote Cement truck hit for Edo State. After VDM involvement and Phyna outrage, Dangote Cement pledge to take responsibility for the accident victim medical care. But few days after, VDM withdraw from the case, claiming say Phyna go behind him back to negotiate with the company.
Denying the allegation, Phyna accuse VDM of trying to manipulate her sister case by turning the public against her and blocking her. She now allege say VDM make sexual advances at her but she reject am. She vow never to forgive VDM.
VDM don respond to the sexual advance accusation. For a clip, he explain say although he falsely accused, he see nothing wrong in being involved with a consenting adult. He question Phyna claim, daring her to publicise her evidence. He state, ‘Phyna said that I, VeryDarkMan, wanted to sleep with her. She said she has evidence, I will like to see the evidence first because I have never told Phyna that I wanted to sleep with her.’
VDM add say even if e talk am, both of them na adults. He say, ‘What if I told Phyna that I wanted to sleep with her? Is there a problem with that? Both of us are adults. If I tell you that I want to sleep with you, that would be me seeking your consent. Thank God say, you no talk say I want to rape you or spike your drink so that I can knack you. For you to talk say you get evidence mean say I even asked you. That’s the way it should be done as an adult and thank God say you no be underage.’
