Former New England Patriots wide receiver Stefon Diggs don breathe say him no guilty for assault of im personal chef. The trial wey happen for Massachusetts court end on Tuesday with acquittal after jury take only 90 minutes for deliberation.
The case start from December 2025 when Jamila Adams, the chef wey work for Diggs, accuse am say he slap her face and try choke am with him elbow. Adams say the assault lead to charges of assault and strangulation. Diggs plead not guilty for February arraignment and now jury say im no guilty.
Adams wey be the chef take stand for court and yarn say she and Diggs get sexual relationship before she become im personal chef. She say she first connect with Diggs through Instagram message four and half years ago when he ask am to cook for am. She call their relationship “complicated” and say dem go meet and hang out before he offer am job for February 2025 to live with am and cook for $2,000 per week.
Adams say she live for Diggs house from July to December but tension start for November because she dey spread information about Diggs sleeping with woman on im staff wey name na Lindsay. Diggs confront am about the matter because Lindsay dey upset say Adams dey work for house. Adams claim she no know the extent of Lindsay duties for Diggs.
She say she no fit go with Diggs and im staff for trip to Miami because of the drama with Lindsay. For the day of alleged assault, Adams say she tell Diggs say she dey upset she no go Art Basel with Cardi B. Then the argument turn physical. Adams say she pack her bag and go trip to New York City with another staffer, but she no tell that staffer about the attack because that staffer also get sexual relationship with Diggs.
Court show video from week after alleged attack wey show Adams face. Adams admit say when she go police, she delete some text messages before give them her conversations with Diggs. Diggs still no sign with any team after this case.
