Braga city dey show say dem serious about helping community and making transport better. Two big things happen for Braga dis week wey make people talk.
First, di Transportes Urbanos de Braga (TUB) go present 35 new electric buses for Tuesday, 21 April 2026. Di event go hold for Cripta do Santuário do Sameiro by 5pm, and di president of Câmara Municipal de Braga, João Rodrigues, go dey there.
Di new buses include 10 midi buses wey be 10 meters long and 25 standard buses wey be 12 meters long. All of dem no go dey produce emissions. By June, three more mini electric buses go join dem.
Dis investment reach about 15 million euros. E be part of plan to make public transport for Braga more green. With dis new ones, TUB go get 113 vehicles wey no dey pollute too much – 81 na electric, 32 na gas-powered.
Di company talk say dis change dey happen small small over di years. E dey follow environmental goals and plan to make city better for people. Electric buses no just reduce pollution, but dem dey make journey more quiet and comfortable for passengers.

Di walk organize by União de Freguesias de Lomar e Arcos. Di president of di union, Eduardo Fernandes, and di captain of di volunteer firefighters, Miguel Ferreira, both dey happy with di turnout.
Miguel Ferreira talk say: “Today na day of big satisfaction for us. Dis solidarity walk born and grow and prepare and execute by our Junta de Freguesia de Lomar e Arcos. We get very close relationship with dem. We dey very satisfied.”

Eduardo Fernandes explain say di walk get two purposes: to show solidarity with institutions like di volunteer firefighters, and to make people know beautiful places for Lomar e Arcos area.
But wetin make organizers happiest na how people show support and understand say dem need to help those wey dey available 24 hours to help others. Participants talk say di event important, and dem plan to do am again for future.
Di walk motto na “caminhe e ajude que cuide de nós” – walk and help those wey take care of us. Throughout di event, dem dey ask people to become members of Bombeiros Voluntários de Braga.
Both events show different ways Braga dey move forward – with sustainable transport and community support. Di electric buses presentation mark another step for TUB strategy as cities dey under pressure to switch to cleaner energy solutions.
