Big Brother Naija Season 7 winner, Ijeoma Otabor wey dem dey call Phyna, don fire back for people wey dey criticize her for doing Brazilian Butt Lift surgery months after her sister Ruth Otabor die.
Na for Instagram livestream on Saturday she yarn am, say most Nigerians na hypocrites. She talk say she don already grieve her sister for private, and she no owe anybody show for public.
“I just wake up, but I wan quickly address something. Sorry, I must talk say most Nigerians na hypocrites. And I get plenty miserable people for my comment section,” Phyna talk.
She insist say her grief na real but personal matter. “I no dey grieve my sister online. She go always remain for my heart. But one thing people no go ever see na me come online cry and post say I miss my sister,” she add.
Phyna warn critics make dem no drag her late sister matter enter online controversy. “No try bring my sister death enter this matter. I lose sister. I lose one of my favorite siblings. And e no concern any of una,” she talk with strong voice.
She defend her parents, talk say the family resume normal life from September 1, the day after dem bury Ruth on August 31. “People go bury and move on the next day. Dem move on for 1st. Like, dem no stop living,” she yarn, beg public make dem understand her own side too.
She also attack social commentator VeryDarkMan, deny claims say she collect ₦1 billion from Dangote Group because of her sister death. “When person talk say dem give me one billion, I no do BBL because of that. I just no wan address am, but I dey see am for my feed and e dey disgusting,” she talk.
About her surgery and her plan to show the results, Phyna no show any apology. “I dey learn how to catwalk. I get new outfits wey go show my breasts, my tummy, everything. Make people use all their weapons now. Small small. I dey come,” she talk with confidence.
She even thank online critics wey dey drag her body before, say na their criticism push her go do the surgery. “Thank you for dragging the stomach. Thank you so much. And now I actually like am,” she add.
Ruth die on August 31, 2025 after she dey battle injuries from road accident wey involve Dangote truck near Auchi Polytechnic for Edo State. The accident make them cut one leg, while the other leg still dey risk, plus head and hand injuries.
The accident happen on August 13, just six days after Ruth graduate from Auchi Polytechnic. Dangote Group don cover all medical and financial costs since the incident and don arrange to fly Ruth go India for better treatment, before she die.
Before Ruth death, Phyna and VeryDarkMan don fight for public over how dem handle the case. The activist accuse Phyna of demanding ₦1 billion from Dangote as compensation and talk say she hold meeting with the company representatives without his knowledge. Phyna deny the claims and call am manipulator.
The livestream cause different reactions online, with supporters praise her right to move forward and critics fault the timing and tone of her comments. Phyna appear unbothered, sign off with warning to her detractors. “No use all your weapons now. Small small. I dey come,” she talk.
For video wey she share for Friday, the reality TV star document the third day of her recovery journey, admit say the physical toll don heavy. Phyna talk say she wake up with surgical drips and drains, describe the feeling as “extremely painful.”
“This recovery no be for weak people. I wake up with blood and drips, but check that snatched waist,” she talk while she dey show her new silhouette. Despite the discomfort, the entertainer express satisfaction with the results and urge others to “trust the process.”
The revelation come at time wey scrutiny for cosmetic procedures for Nigeria don increase. Just recently, the industry shake from death of socialite Elena Jessica, wey reportedly die from complications and severe infection after similar procedure.
