Konami eFootball Don Hit One Billion Download, Bring Back Master League for Small Time

Konami don announce say eFootball, dia free-to-play football game, don pass one billion downloads worldwide. Na big milestone for the game wey dem launch for 2021 as successor to Pro Evolution Soccer. The download figure show say the game don get serious reach, even though Konami no release active user numbers.

To celebrate this achievement, Konami don launch special in-game campaign wey dem call “Master League Sprint.” This limited-time mode go dey available from today until April 16. E dey bring back elements from the old Master League career mode wey fans of PES series sabi well well.

For Master League Sprint, players fit step into the role of club manager. Dem go dey oversee player signings, select line-up, and schedule training sessions. The mode feature “Synergy” matches where player abilities and condition affect team chemistry. Various “episodes” fit happen during matches, like player growth, changes in condition, and injuries.

By earning points from each match, players fit sign new players and reshape their squad. The mode also bring back some fictional players from original Master League like Castolo and Minanda. Daily login incentives and progression-based rewards dey part of the activation, with users fit earn in-game currency and player acquisition opportunities.

Konami also announce manga collaboration with Kodansha. The series title na “That Time I Got Reincarnated in PES” and go dey distributed via K MANGA platform. According to press release, the protagonist go reincarnate into the world of Master League. The manga go dey drawn by Kiminori Wakasugi, wey known for Detroit Metal City.

Alongside the in-game push, Konami launch gameplay updates wey introduce “Advanced Feint Command” system. This one dey designed to enhance one-on-one mechanics and bring user control closer to real-world play.

Konami originally switch to free-to-play model after falling behind EA Sports FIFA series, wey now dey title FC following company split from FIFA for 2022. That move appear to don pay off, keeping eFootball relevancy as high quality free-to-play alternative to FC game without the paywall.

Some fans don express disappointment say Master League Sprint na only limited-time event instead of full return of the beloved career mode. One fan for social media say Konami “destroyed the best game mode” and only use the name for “ridiculous and mediocre event.”

Konami no announce plans to bring eFootball to Nintendo Switch 2. Instead, separate spin-off game wey dem call eFootball Kick-Off! go release this summer. That one go offer more offline modes including World Tour mode where players fit set up their own club team and take part in competitions worldwide.

The one billion download milestone show say eFootball don maintain grip on football gaming space despite shaky start for 2021. That year iteration launch as worst reviewed game on Steam, but Konami don work to improve the experience since then.
