E still need to make the sounds of pain, of bones wey dey crack, and even the wet, slimy noise when Conquest tear Mark stomach comot. Yeun laugh small as e dey explain the process. “That was so fun. You just have to let the organs do most of the work,” e talk. “You gotta let the slimy noises do most of the work.” But behind the fun, na serious acting wey dey. E talk say for Mark mind, the pain don pass normal pain. Na pure shock. And yet, the boy still dey try to fight back, to get vengeance. E be like metaphor for how e dey lose innocence while still dey try hold ground.
Racioppa talk say Yeun dey sell himself short. The guy first record without any visuals, just based on script and description. But when dem show am the pictures later, e go say, “Oh, okay, I have to do this again. I have to go bigger.” And that second pass, with just breathing or screams or slow moans, na im make the violence feel real and affect people well well.

But for this TV version, dem change am to girl, Zoe Thompson, wey Zoey Deutch dey voice. Allen the Alien (Seth Rogen) come recruit am join the fight against the Viltrumites.
This change no new for Kirkman work. For Invincible before, dem change Shrinking Ray to Shrinking Rae. For The Walking Dead TV series, dem flip Douglas Monroe to Deanna Monroe. And for Kirkman new Transformers comic, dem elevate Autobot Elita One to Prime. So Zoe Thompson just follow pattern. Even though some online misogynists don dey complain, Kirkman sef approve the change as co-creator of the original Tech Jacket comic.
Back to the main fight. The episode show Mark and Conquest wey dey fight for inside Coalition of Planets ship. The thing bloody well well. Conquest punch hole for Mark body, pull out insides. But Mark, despite all the damage, still manage to choke Conquest and finally kill am. By the time the fight end, Mark dey almost die. E dey lie unconscious as e papa, Omni-Man (Nolan), and e brother, Oliver, locate am.
Kirkman don talk before say this season go show darker Mark. The guy dey learn from mistakes. E regret how e handle Angstrom Levy for Season 3, but now e believe say if e kill am then, e for prevent plenty wahala. Now wey e don kill Conquest, e show say the boy dey grow. E dey make mistakes as young hero, and na that one make the story interesting.
