Legend Internet and Spectranet dey merge to become Nigeria biggest ISP

Na big news dey for Nigeria telecom sector as two major internet providers, Legend Internet Plc and Spectranet Limited, don announce say dem dey plan to merge together. Dis merger go make dem become Nigeria largest Internet Service Provider (ISP) with estimated market capitalisation of N80 billion.

According to official statement wey Legend Internet release to Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX) and shareholders, dem don get approval from dia board since October 3, 2025 and shareholders approve am on November 7, 2025. Di merger plan dey subject to regulatory approvals from Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC) and Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC). If everything go well, di deal go complete for second quarter (Q2) of 2026.
