Today, I dey preside over the swearing-in ceremony for Adamawa State first female Chief Judge, Hon. Justice Hafsat Abdulrahman, together with Grand Khadi Hon. Justice Ibrahim Sudi and President of Customary Court of Appeal, Hon. Justice Audu Balami, for Conference Hall, Government House, Yola.

Hon. Justice Hafsat Abdulrahman na serious judge wey don climb the ranks with clean record for her service years and plenty correct judgements. E be big history as we dey make her the first female Chief Judge for the state. This one dey show say gender no suppose be barrier; our girl pikin fit rise to any level with hard work and merit. To all parents, if you dey find role model for your daughters, look no further—Hon. Justice Hafsat dem represent merit, right, truth, hard work, fairness, and justice.

As Government, we go ensure say we dey respect and support every democratic institution. We don establish wetin we believe for separation of powers. Now for Adamawa State, the three arms of Government—the Executive, Legislature, and Judiciary—dey operate with full autonomy. This one don become normal say to achieve our goal of good leadership, we must allow all government organs to dey work independently.
