“90 minutes with the CEO of Merck Foundation” launched as a new reporting and engagement tool for their programs

It will be an honor for me to share my accomplishments and ideas that will motivate African youth and women

NAIROBI, Kenya, September 24, 2021 / APO Group / –

The Merck Foundation (Merck-Foundation.com), the philanthropic arm of Merck KGaA Germany, presents 90 minutes with Senator, Dr Rasha Kelej, CEO of the Merck Foundation as a new interactive tool for reporting and engagement in the aim to update and discuss their programs and its impact with the media and stakeholders on their social media channels. The first live broadcast will take place on October 13, 2021, via video conference.

Senator Dr Rasha Kelej, CEO of Merck Foundation, said: “Many of our stakeholders, alumni and members of the media have asked me to run regular live broadcasts on social media so that they can ask myself questions about our programs and their enormous impacts and about myself as an African woman who has become one of the most influential in the world. Therefore, I decided to launch this reporting tool to be able to engage with them through a series of Livestream meetings for 90 minutes on a monthly basis. These live broadcasts will give me the opportunity to interact directly with media representatives from all African countries in addition to our Merck Foundation alumni who actively contribute to the Merck Foundation goals. I invite you all to be part of this tool. In addition, I will be happy to share with you all the information relating to my tastes, my dislikes, my hobbies, my personality, my education, my youth, my professional life, my professional progress, my challenges and my successes, in addition to our vision and future plans in order to achieve the goals of the Merck Foundation, as well as my personal goals. I hope that my journey and experiences of how I overcame the challenges and achieved the goals of the Merck Foundation and my dreams, will be of benefit to many of you ”.

Senator Dr Rasha Kelej has an experience of over 27 years. She has been recognized as one of the 100 Most Influential African Women in the World for 2019, 2020 and 2021. She has also been appointed by the President of the Arab Republic of Egypt as a Senator in the Egyptian Senate (2020 – 2025) .

“It will be an honor for me to share my accomplishments and ideas that will motivate young people and African women and help them overcome challenges and break the glass ceiling during their professional journey,” added Senator Dr Rasha. Kelej.

The Merck Foundation invites African media representatives and Merck Foundation alumni to ask questions, which actively contribute to the objectives of the Merck Foundation. Those with the most interesting questions will have the chance to speak directly to the CEO of Merck Foundation, during the live broadcast.
