Commissioner Tokunbo Wahab drop the gist for X say dem take that action on Wednesday, say na because of the offensive smell wey enter community.
Wahab yarn say na deliberate pumping of this dirty water into public drain dey cause wahala for the area. E no just dey smell, e dey bring serious health risks come people wey dey live around. E even call am public nuisance and environmental pollution. My people, how we go fit live for environment wey dem no sabi manage?
E come dey urge residents make dem tighten their hygiene practices and waste management skills. He no gree make anybody feel say gree for wetin dem dey do, because environmental pollution go carry serious sanctions come for anybody wey no get sense. If you sabi dey pump dirty water anyhow, just know say dem go hammer you!
As we dey talk now, so Lagos government don plan to bring back the monthly sanitation exercise wey dem don shelve since 2016. Wahab don drop the gist say by March, we fit see am again. This exercise wey dey happen for the last Saturday of every month, wan help clean up our area wey don full with waste and drainage wahala.
For the past months, Lagos don dey suffer from serious waste management wahala, clogged drains, and people wey no sabi where to throw their rubbish. So, resuming this sanitation exercise go help sabi how we fit manage our waste better.
Naa to be serious with cleanliness matter o! Wahab dey call on every Lagosian make we show support for this hygiene movement, because if we no do am together, the consequences go fit scatter everywhere. Na everybody go dey pay for the dirty business.
